NOVELTY - A polyvinyl alcohol-graphene oxide crosslinked polymer-coated modified nano calcium carbonate powder comprises 10-20 pts. wt. calcium oxide, carbon dioxide (industrially pure), 0.1-0.2 pt. wt. sodium lignosulfonate, 0.4-0.5 pt. wt. graphene oxide, 2-3 pts. wt. polyvinyl alcohol, 1-5% glutaraldehyde aqueous solution, acetone, 0.4-0.5 pt. wt. KH-550 (RTM: gamma -aminopropyltriethoxysilane), 100-150 pts. wt. deionized water, and 10-20 pts. wt. anhydrous ethanol. USE - Polyvinyl alcohol-graphene oxide crosslinked polymer-coated modified nano calcium carbonate powder is useful as filler. ADVANTAGE - The modified nano calcium carbonate powder is coated with a polyvinyl alcohol-graphene oxide film, which is stabilized by chemical bonding on the surface of nano calcium carbonate after crosslinking with glutaraldehyde solution, thus providing excellent dispersibility, water resistance, surface strength, and modification effect. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of modified nano calcium carbonate powder, which involves adding deionized water, absolute ethanol, sodium lignosulfonate, polyvinyl alcohol, and graphene oxide in turns to a reactor, stir-mixing for 40-50 minutes under nitrogen atmosphere, heating to 80-85 degrees C, adding calcium oxide, grinding, stirring, digesting for 2-3 hours to obtain a calcium hydroxide slurry, aging for 10-15 hours, dripping KH-550 (RTM: gamma -aminopropyltriethoxysilane) under stirring conditions, starting supply of carbon dioxide gas, maintaining neutral pH, stir-mixing continuously, reacting for 1-2 hours, filtering, washing, vacuum-drying, dispersing to obtain modified nano calcium carbonate powder, adding the modified nano calcium carbonate powder to glutaraldehyde aqueous solution, soaking for 10-15 hours, filtering, washing with acetone 2-3 times and with alcohol 3-5 times, drying, and dispersing.
