NOVELTY - A coating composition comprises binder system, e.g. epoxy-based binder systems, silicate-based binder systems, polysiloxane-based binder systems, polyurethane-based binder systems, cyclized-rubber-based binder systems, and/or phenoxy-resin-based binder systems, zinc particles, microspheres, and greater than or equal to 0.1 wt.% conductive pigment, e.g. graphite, carbon black, graphene, aluminum, black iron oxide, antimony-doped tin oxide, mica coated with antimony-doped tin oxide, carbon nanotubes, and/or carbon fibers. Microspheres have spheroidal shape and are made of e.g. glass and/or ceramics. USE - A coating composition for coated structure (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The coating composition effectively protects iron and steel structures against corrosion cost-effectively by limiting the amount of zinc applied to the protective coatings. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A coating composition comprises binder system, e.g. epoxy-based binder systems, silicate-based binder systems, polysiloxane-based binder systems, polyurethane-based binder systems, cyclized-rubber-based binder systems, and/or phenoxy-resin-based binder systems, zinc particles, microspheres, and greater than or equal to 0.1 wt.% conductive pigment, e.g. graphite, carbon black, graphene, aluminum, black iron oxide, antimony-doped tin oxide, mica coated with antimony-doped tin oxide, carbon nanotubes, and/or carbon fibers. Microspheres have spheroidal shape and are made of material selected from glass, ceramics, and/or polymeric materials provided that microspheres are not hollow glass microspheres. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) kit of parts comprising coating composition and greater than or equal to 2 containers in which one container contains curing agents and another container contains the remaining components; (2) coated structure comprising metal structure having a coating of the coating composition applied on at least a part of the metal structure; and (3) coating method of metal structure which involves applying a layer of coating composition to at least a part of metal structure.
