NOVELTY - Light valve comprises first transparent substrate, first transparent electrode formed on the first transparent substrate, second transparent substrate, and second transparent electrode formed on the second transparent substrate, the first transparent electrode and second transparent electrode are arranged opposite to each other, a light control layer i.e. polymer matrix is disposed between first transparent electrode and second transparent electrode, and is dispersed with suspension medium droplets, and solid light control particles are distributed in the suspension medium droplets, and the polymer matrix is obtained from at least one siloxane copolymer. The siloxane copolymer is obtained by copolymerizing monomers comprising (a) silicon-containing non-crosslinking monomers in the form of silicon-containing non-crosslinking monomers and/or oligomers, (b) silicon-containing crosslinkable monomers, (c) silicon-containing monomer with conjugated π electron system structure (A). USE - The Light valve useful in dimming glass assembly (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The light valve: has improved light aging resistance; and utilizes polymer matrix has more uniform distribution of light-resistant functional monomers, and a more stable chemical state of the functional groups, thereby significantly improving the light-resistant stability of the dimming glass component and prolonging its service life, and also improves the processing performance of the material. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Light valve comprises first transparent substrate, first transparent electrode formed on the first transparent substrate, second transparent substrate, and second transparent electrode formed on the second transparent substrate, the first transparent electrode and second transparent electrode are arranged opposite to each other, a light control layer i.e. polymer matrix is disposed between first transparent electrode and second transparent electrode, and is dispersed with suspension medium droplets, and solid light control particles are distributed in the suspension medium droplets, and the polymer matrix is obtained from at least one siloxane copolymer. The siloxane copolymer is obtained by copolymerizing monomers comprising (a) silicon-containing non-crosslinking monomers in the form of silicon-containing non-crosslinking monomers and/or oligomers, (b) silicon-containing crosslinkable monomers, (c) silicon-containing monomer with conjugated π electron system structure i.e. silicon-containing monomer compound of R-(CH2)n-SiR1xR2y(A)) (I). R1= OH group or group capable of generating hydroxyl after a hydrolysis reaction, -Cl, C1-C3alkoxy group, -OCH3, -OCH2CH3, -OCH(CH3)2, -OCH2CH2OCH3, -O-C(=O)-CH3, preferably OH, -Cl, -OCH3and -OCH2CH3; R2= C1-C3alkyl, preferably methyl or ethyl, x and y = 0-3, preferably 2 or 3; n = 0-10, preferably 0, 1, 2 or 3; R = group having conjugated π-electron system structure, and contains ortho-hydroxyphenyl substituent, nitrogen-containing heterocyclic substituent, and/or carbonylbenzene ring substituent, which may be further optionally substituted; INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: dimming glass assembly comprising a first glass sheet and second glass sheet, and the light valve disposed between the first glass sheet and second glass sheet; improving illumination stability of a dimming glass, comprising: providing a light control layer matrix emulsion; coating the light control layer matrix emulsion on a first transparent electrode to form a light control layer wet film; covering the light control layer wet film with a second transparent electrode; and crosslinking and curing the light control layer wet film to obtain the light valve, the light control layer matrix emulsion comprises polymer matrix precursor, where suspension medium droplets are dispersed in the polymer matrix precursor, solid light control particles are distributed in the suspension medium droplets, the polymer matrix precursor comprises siloxane copolymer which is obtained by copolymerizing monomers comprising (a) a silicon-containing non-crosslinked monomer provided in the form of a silicon-containing non-crosslinked monomer and/or an oligomer, (b) silicon-containing crosslinkable monomer, and (I).
