NOVELTY - Hot melt prepreg processing borosilicate phenolic resin comprises 50-150 pts. wt. phenol, 50-200 pts. wt. aldehyde, 2-150 pts. wt. boron-containing compound, 1-80 pts. wt. silicate, modifier and toughening agent. The relationship between the amount of the modifier, the toughening agent and the phenol is 100 pts. wt. phenol, 0-50 pts. wt. modifier, and 0-50 pts. wt. toughening agent. USE - Used as hot melt prepreg processing borosilicate phenolic resin. ADVANTAGE - The resin has good adhesion to fibers, low composite material porosity, high mechanical strength and good ablation resistance, introduces the silicon oxide bond with higher bond energy, improves the heat resistance of borosilicate phenolic resin, and greatly improves the interlayer strength and ablation and erosion performance of composite products as matrix material. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) preparing the hot melt prepreg processing borosilicate phenolic resin, comprising (i) mixing the boron-containing compound with phenol, and performing an esterification reaction to obtain borate, (ii) mixing the boric acid ester with an aldehyde, and performing condensation reaction to obtain a boron phenolic resin, (iii) mixing the borosilicate phenolic resin with silicate, and performing condensation reaction to obtain borosilicate phenolic resin, and (iv) adding the modifier and the toughening agent into the borosilicate phenolic resin; (2) borosilicate phenolic resin-based composite material as matrix material; and (3) preparing the borosilicate phenolic resin-based composite material, comprising (a) preparing the borosilicate phenolic resin suitable for hot melt prepreg process into a resin film, (b) compounding the resin film and fiber cloth to obtain prepreg, and (c) curing and molding the prepreg to obtain borosilicate phenolic resin-based composite material.
