NOVELTY - Method for modifying an electron transport layer involves blending an electron transport layer material with graphene oxide, heating the resulting mixture, dissolving in a high boiling solvent to form a solution (a1), heating the solution (a1) under inert gas atmosphere, filtering while hot, storing the filtrate in dark, adding an additive to the filtrate, storing for 24 hours or more, distilling the filtrate under vacuum to remove the solvent to obtain a mixture of the electron transport layer and graphene oxide. The electron transport layer material contains a polyfluorene compound (I). USE - Method for modifying electron transport layer of organic polymer battery. ADVANTAGE - The method enables efficient modification of electron transport layer with excellent electron mobility. The electron transport layer material contains a polyfluorene compound of formula (I). R1,R2 = linear, branched or cyclic 1-22C alkyl or linear, branched or cyclic 1-22C alkoxy, in which one or more carbon atom is optionally replaced by oxygen, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, hydroxy, amino, carbonyl, carboxy, ester, cyano, or nitro, and H is optionally substituted by halo, oxygen, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, hydroxy, amino, carbonyl, carboxy, ester, cyano, or nitro.
