NOVELTY - Preparation of graphite electrode joint containing graphene comprises crushing the raw materials i.e. coke section and needle coke by medium crushing machine, sieving, continuously grinding the smaller particles into fine powder material, returning the larger particles into the crusher, crushing until the screening requirements are met, taking 40-50 pts. wt. section coke fine powder material, 45-55 pts. wt. needle coke powder material and 4-5 pts. wt. powdered graphene, dry mixing, adding 8-12 pts. wt. water, adding into kneading pot, wet mixing for 20-30 minutes, adding 1-3 pts. wt. binder, continuously kneading at 100-120 degrees C, forming into pasty material with certain plasticity, cooling, pre-pressing, molding by extrusion molding machine, obtaining graphite electrode joint blank of various specifications, subjecting to two-dipping three-baking process, and cooling. USE - Preparation of graphite electrode joint containing graphene. ADVANTAGE - The method has simple preparation and provides graphene-containing graphite electrode joint, which has greatly improved folding resistance and improved oxidation resistance under high temperature condition, and can cope even under current overload operation.
