NOVELTY - Nanoporous carbon composition has elemental metal nanostructure arranged within carbon nanopore. The elemental metal nanostructure comprises a metal including ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, osmium, iridium, platinum, gold and silver and internal carbon. The elemental metal nanostructure has an average diameter of less than about 1 µm, as detected by visual inspection of a transmission electron microscopy (TEM) image. USE - Nanoporous carbon composition used for producing elemental metal macrostructures. ADVANTAGE - The nanoporous carbon composition has improved performance, reduced or eliminated electromagnetic exposure to the gas as the gas resides within the line.
