NOVELTY - A bisphenol A synthetic composite resin catalyst comprises 30-90 %mass styrene based monomer (I), 1-30 %mass cross-linking agent, 0.1-20 %mass nanomaterials, and 8.0-25 %mass mercaptoalkyl quaternary ammonium salt. The cross-linking agent is at least one of divinylbenzene, divinyl phenyl methane, and dialkyl benzene. The nanomaterials are at least one of graphene, carbon nanotubes, and nano-silicon oxide. The mercaptoalkyl quaternary ammonium salt comprises N,N-dimethyl-N-ethyl-3-mercaptopropyl quaternary ammonium salt, N, N,N-trimethyl-3-mercaptopropyl quaternary ammonium salt, and N,N-dimethyl-N-propyl-3-mercaptopropyl quaternary ammonium salt. USE - Bisphenol A synthetic composite resin catalyst. ADVANTAGE - The composite resin catalyst has a stable structure, improves the shrinkage resistance of resin, and has high catalytic activity and selectivity at the same time. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A bisphenol A synthetic composite resin catalyst comprises 30-90 %mass styrene based monomer of formula (I), 1-30 %mass cross-linking agent, 0.1-20 %mass nanomaterials, and 8.0-25 %mass mercaptoalkyl quaternary ammonium salt. The cross-linking agent is at least one of divinylbenzene, divinyl phenyl methane, and dialkyl benzene. The nanomaterials are at least one of graphene, carbon nanotubes, and nano-silicon oxide. The mercaptoalkyl quaternary ammonium salt comprises N,N-dimethyl-N-ethyl-3-mercaptopropyl quaternary ammonium salt, N, N,N-trimethyl-3-mercaptopropyl quaternary ammonium salt, and N,N-dimethyl-N-propyl-3-mercaptopropyl quaternary ammonium salt. X=H, halo (fluoro, chloro, and bromo), nitro, carboxy electron-withdrawing groups. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of bisphenol A synthetic composite resin catalyst, which involves (s1) mixing styrene based monomer (I), cross-linking agents and nanomaterials evenly, and carrying out suspension copolymerization to obtain composite copolymer pellets, (s2) sulfonating the composite copolymer pellets according to method to obtain a sulfonic acid type composite cation exchange resin, as the base resin for preparing bisphenol A catalyst, and (s3) according to the disclosed technology, using 8.0-25 %mass mercaptoalkyl quaternary ammonium salt as mercaptolation agent, and modifying base resin by ion exchange method, and combining sulfonic acid group on resin with the mercaptoalkyl ammonium in the form of ion bond.
