NOVELTY - Preparing hydrophilic molecularly imprinted nanocomposite resin based on magnetic graphene oxide (MGO) involves using solvothermal method to prepare amino-functionalized MGO followed by mixing ferric chloride (FeCl3x H2O) and graphene oxide (GO) with ethylene glycol, then adding 1,6-hexamethylene diamine and anhydrous sodium acetate; mixing and transferring into lining of autoclave filled with polytetrafluoroethylene, heating at 180-220 degrees C for 8-14 hours, washing product repeatedly, drying to constant weight to obtain amino-functionalized MGO, where mass ratio of FeCl3x 6H2O, graphene oxide, anhydrous sodium acetate and 1,6-hexamethylene diamine is 1:0.12-0.16:1.8-2.2:2-3, mass volume ratio of FeCl3x 6H2O to ethylene glycol is 1 g:28-32 mL; using resorcinol and melamine as double hydrophilic monomers, providing formaldehyde as hydrophilic crosslinking agent and MGO as magnetic matrix; using two-step template immobilization method combined with surface imprinting to prepare MMIR. USE - Method for preparing hydrophilic molecularly imprinted nanocomposite resin based on magnetic graphene oxide used for detecting trace chlorophenols (CPs) in water samples in complex environments, followed by dispersing certain quality of MMIR in certain volume of natural pH environmental water, sonicating for 1-3 minutes, oscillating for 10-40 minutes, and separating MMIR with external magnet, where environmental water sample CPs are adsorbed on MMIR, mass ratio of MMIR to volume of environmental water sample is 1 g:1600-200 mL; adding certain volume of eluent to MMIR on which CPs are extracted, separating by magnetic field, and discarding waste liquid, where mass ratio of MMIR to volume of eluent is 1 g:48-52 mL; adding eluent to MMIR eluted, ultrasonicating for 30-60 seconds to elute CPs adsorbed on MMIR, separating by magnetic field, eluting 3-4 times, combining and collecting elution liquid; drying collected eluate with nitrogen at 30-50 degrees C, redissolving residue with 1.0 mL solvent, passing through 0.22 mu m filter membrane, and analyzing by HPLC-UV, where mass ratio of MMIR to volume of eluent is 1 g:70-100 mL, where eluent is mixture of distilled water or any ratio of distilled water or one of three solvents of acetonitrile, acetone, and methanol; eluent is one of methanol, acetonitrile or acetone mixed with one of 1 mol/L hydrochloric acid (HCl) or sodium hydroxide (NaOH); and solvent for re-dissolving is one of methanol or acetonitrile or mixture and distilled water (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare hydrophilic molecularly imprinted nano composite resin based on magnetic graphene oxide, which has high adsorption capacity and selectivity; overcomes problems of deep template embedding, low adsorption capacity, and slow mass transfer rate that imprinting materials often face; simplifies analysis operation process; reduces experimental costs, integrates enrichment and separation, and achieves efficient and selective extraction of CPs in environmental water to achieve accurate detection of CPs.
