NOVELTY - Impregnated resin material obtained by in-situ polymerization of surface-modified conductive carbon and phenolic resin, is claimed. The surface-modified conductive carbon is prepared by ultrasonically washing the conductive carbon powder with concentrated nitric acid, and modifying its surface with silane coupling agent. USE - The resin material is useful for densification and modification of carbon fiber paper (claimed) and proton exchange membrane fuel cell. ADVANTAGE - The resin material has higher carbon residue rate (e.g. 10 wt.% carbon black/phenolic composite resin of carbon black of carbon fiber paper density of 65% and carbon particles of 10% and is attached on the surface of the carbon fiber framework and between them, and realizes good thickening effect, which is good for improving the mechanical property of carbon paper. The method is simple, cost-effective and environmentally friendly. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: preparing the resin material, comprising (1) using concentrated nitric acid to carry out ultrasonic leaching to the conductive carbon powder, centrifuging and drying to obtain the pretreated conductive carbon powder, (2) adding the pretreated conductive carbon powder into silane coupling agent-ethanol solution and heating and stirring, and centrifuging and drying to obtain surface-modified conductive carbon powder, (3) mixing the surface-modified conductive carbon powder with phenol and aqueous ammonia, adding formaldehyde solution for pre-condensation while stirring, increasing the temperature and continuously stirring the reaction to solidify the resin, quickly water-cooling to room temperature to terminate the reaction, and vacuum-drying to obtain the impregnated resin material for densification modification of high-performance carbon fiber paper; high performance carbon fiber paper, comprising impregnating resin material according to the impregnated resin material prepared by the method for preparing the impregnating resin material for densification and modification of carbon fiber paper obtained after impregnating carbon fiber paper; and preparing high-performance carbon fiber paper, comprising dissolving impregnated resin material prepared by the impregnated resin material preparation method for densification and modification of carbon fiber paper in organic solvent, stirring to form uniform dispersion, soaking in the carbon fiber paper precursor and drying to obtain the high-performance carbon fiber paper.
