NOVELTY - A positive electrode (12) includes positive electrode active material particles, a polymeric binder, a polymeric dispersant and a combination of electrically conductive carbon additives, where the combination of electrically conductive carbon additive comprises carbon black particles, graphene nanoplates and carbon nanotubes, and the content of combination of electrically conductive carbon additive is 0.5-10 wt.% of the positive electrode. USE - Positive electrode used for electrochemical cell (claimed) for lithium secondary battery. ADVANTAGE - The positive electrode can help improve charge and discharge rate capability of the electrochemical cell. The electrically conductive carbon additive can synergistically improve electrical percolation and conductivity of the positive electrode. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for an electrochemical cell (10) for lithium battery, which includes the positive electrode arranged on a main surface of a positive electrode current collector (22), where the positive electrode active material particles, polymeric binder, polymeric dispersant and combination of electrically conductive carbon additive are homogeneously distributed throughout the positive electrode.
