NOVELTY - Novel nano hybrid composite comprises resin selected from phenolic, polyurethane, polyster or epoxy, 0.25-1 wt.% resin multi-walled carbon nano tube s and 2-8 wt.% resin nano oxide selected from graphene oxide, silica oxide, or zinc oxide. USE - Novel nano hybrid composite. ADVANTAGE - The novel nano hybrid composite has improved toughness. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a method for preparing nano hybrid composite, which involves ultrasonicating multi walled carbon nano tube s (MWCNT s) and nano oxide selected from graphene oxide, silica oxide, or zinc oxide independently in a solvent, mixing together ultrasonicated nano materials MWCNT s and nano oxide as obtained and further ultrasonicated, stirring he mixture obtained to obtain MWCNT s/nano oxide hybrid nano composite and adding resin selected from phenolic, polyurethane, polyster or epoxy to the MWCNT s/Nano oxide hybrid nano composite obtained to obtain Nano hybrid composite; and (2) a method for preparing a coating over a surface of mild steel that protects the surface from corrosion and increases the mechanical properties, which involves applying the nano hybrid composite coating, where resin is selected from phenolic, polyurethane, polyster or epoxy, multi walled carbon nano tubes (MWCNT s) comprising 0.25-1 wt.% resin and nano oxide particles selected from graphene oxide, silica oxide or zinc oxide comprising 2-8 wt.% resin.
