NOVELTY - A self-supporting vanadium pentoxide ribbon graphene oxide (V2O5/rGO) nano-array sodium ion battery material is assembled from nanoparticles and has a porous structure. The V2O5/rGO nano-array has a length of 5-20 mu m, a width of 0.5-3 mu m, and thickness of 0.1-0.3 mu m, and rGO covers the surface of the V2O5 array. USE - A self-supporting vanadium pentoxide ribbon graphene oxide (V2O5/rGO) nano-array sodium ion battery material for preparing sodium ion battery negative electrode sheet (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The sodium ion half-cell assembled from the V2O5/rGO nano-array negative electrode has stable cycling performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of self-supporting V2O5/rGO nano-array sodium ion battery material which involves (1) weighing ammonium metavanadate and adding deionized water, placing in a water bath, stirring until completely dissolved, adding hydrochloric acid diluent to solution dropwise to adjust pH of solution, transferring solution into a hydrothermal reactor and placing nickel mesh into hydrothermal reaction to prepare V2O5 nanoarray precursor, and annealing in air to obtain V2O5 nanoarray; and (2) immersing V2O5 nanoarray in a graphene oxide solution, drying, and annealing in a nitrogen atmosphere.
