NOVELTY - A transition metal single atom catalyst preparation method comprises mixing transition metal chloride, metal alkyl compound, carbon material and organic solvent under inert atmosphere protection, ultrasonicating, separating to obtain solid substance, and vacuum drying. USE - Transition metal single atom catalyst preparation method. ADVANTAGE - The catalyst has low temperature, simple method and strong universality, and has high single atom load rate. The hydrogen storage material has low hydrogen releasing temperature, fast hydrogen releasing speed, low hydrogen absorption temperature and fast hydrogen absorption rate. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) hydrogen storage material comprising transition metal single atom catalyst and light metal hydride; and (2) preparation of hydrogen storage material comprising mixing and ball milling the transition metal single atom catalyst with the light metal hydride under the protection of inert gas.
