NOVELTY - The sheet has a cathode current collector. A protective layer attached to the cathode current collector. The protective layer component comprises a nano-fluorinated carbon and an agglomerant. The nano fluorinated carbon is nano fluorinated graphite, nano fluorinated hard carbon, nano fluorinated soft carbon, nano fluorinated activated carbon, fluorinated carbon nano tube, fluorinated graphene and/or fluorinated carbon fiber. The agglomerant is polyvinylidene fluoride, polytetrafluoroethylene, styrene-butadiene rubber, carboxymethyl cellulose, poly(acrylic acid) and acrylonitrile multi-copolymer binder. USE - The non-cathode active substance battery sheet is useful in battery i.e. lithium battery or sodium battery (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The sheet has improved coulomb efficiency and cycle performance, prevents lithium from directly reacting with other components contact the battery, thus improving the high temperature performance of the battery and inhibiting battery high temperature expansion, and can induce lithium (sodium) uniform deposition, inhibiting generation of dendritic crystal and dead lithium.
