NOVELTY - Preparation of microporous layer slurry involves (S1) adding surfactant to deionized water, and dispersing surfactant evenly in deionized water at a stirring speed of 100-250 rpm, (S2) adding hydrophobic agent at a rate of 0.1-2 mL/second with stirring, (S3) adding conductive material to the solution in step (S2), and stirring evenly at a stirring speed of 50-350 rpm, (S4) uniformly dispersing materials in step (S3) by dispersing equipment for 20-90 minutes. USE - Preparation of microporous layer slurry used for preparing gas diffusion layer for proton exchange membrane fuel cell (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The prepared microporous layer slurry has small particle size, uniform dispersion, relatively stable, capable of storing for a long time and not easy to occur sedimentation and agglomeration. The gas diffusion layer prepared by the method has high flatness, the influence of the catalyst coating film is small, can prolong the service life of fuel cell assembly. The method uses water as solvent, with low cost and no pollution. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a preparation of gas diffusion layer.
