NOVELTY - Nanocomposite comprises graphene single layer and polyethylene terephthalate composition, where surface of the graphene sheet is connected with the polyethylene terephthalate molecule through a covalent bond. USE - The nanocomposite is useful for preparing high performance polyester fabric (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The nanocomposite has simple preparation process, low cost, and obtained composite material has excellent performance, and greatly saves the cost and improves the production efficiency by adding graphene oxide. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparation of preparing nanocomposite comprising (i) drying single layer graphene oxide dispersion having a size of 1-50 mu m by an atomizing drying method to obtain pleated spherical graphene oxide having carbon to oxygen ratio of 2.5-5, (ii) mixing 100 pts. wt. terephthalic acid, 48-67 pts. wt. ethylene glycol and 0.02 g sodium acetate and stirring, and carrying out esterification reaction at 250 degrees C, and (iii) adding 0.0117-5.85 pts. wt. pleated spherical graphene oxide obtained in the step (i) and 0.018 pts. wt. catalyst into the esterified product obtained in step (ii), stirring for 1-3 hours, raising the temperature to 285 degrees C and evacuating, the reaction proceeds until the system is no longer exothermic, cooling with water and pelletizing to obtain final product.
