NOVELTY - The near-infrared polarization controller comprises a polarization modulating device and a positive incident light source. The polarization modulation device has a top layer, a middle layer, and a bottom layer and a substrate. The top layer is made of a silver nano-slit structure. The middle layer is a silicon dioxide medium layer. The bottom layer has a silver reflective film. The substrate is silicon dioxide substrate. USE - Near infrared polarization controller. ADVANTAGE - The device utilizes the electrical control characteristics of the graphite and the perturbation effect of the metal-surface plasma excimer to work in the near-infrared optical communication band based on the tunable devices of graphite. The polarization control capability of the device is strong, it can realize the continuous adjustment of the reflected light polarization state from the right-handed circular polarization state to the left-hand circular polarization. The device control mechanism from graphite the response rate is faster in gigahertz (GHz) magnitude.
