NOVELTY - The method involves pre-decomposing gas to be processed under the condition of UV light and microwave radiation to obtain pre-decomposed gas under the aerobic environment. A decomposition catalyst comprises a cordierite ceramic honeycomb carrier and a coating coated on the surface of the cordierite ceramic honeycomb carrier. A material of the coating comprises active gamma alumina, metal oxide, active auxiliary agent and hydrophobic material. An active auxiliary agent comprises graphene and/or silicon carbide. A hydrophobic material comprises hydrophobic molecular sieve, hydrophobic silicon gel crystalline silicate and aluminosilicate. USE - Method for processing benzene-containing VOCs. ADVANTAGE - The method is good for activating the catalyst so as to ensure decomposition rate of the decomposition process and reducing processing cost.
