NOVELTY - Preparing 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid from carbohydrates involves dissolving the carbohydrate compound in a polar aprotic organic solvent to obtain solution A, where the mass fraction of the carbohydrate compound in the solution A is 2-25%. The solution A is heated and dehydrated under the catalysis of the solid acid catalyst under the protection of inert gas. The reaction is completed, the solid acid catalyst is filtered out to obtain solution B. The mass of the solid acid catalyst is 5-80% mass of the sugar compound, added polar aprotic organic solvent to solution B until the HMF concentration in solution B is 0.04-0.3 mole/L, added alkali additives to adjust the pH of the solution to 3-12, so that the system reaches the oxidation temperature and then added aqueous solution of the tap water disinfectant as an oxidant, sealed and avoided light oxidation reaction to obtain product. USE - Method for preparing 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid from carbohydrates. ADVANTAGE - The method does not need any catalyst including noble metal catalyst to catalyze, in cost-effective manner.
