NOVELTY - Flat lithium electrode comprises a current collector (10), a lithium metal sheet (20) formed on the surface of the current collector. The lithium metal sheet is sealed and includes an insulating film (30) set to cover the surface of the current collector. The current collector is formed in a flat plate shape using copper. The lithium metal sheet includes a lithium metal layer (21) is formed by aligning the edges of the surface of the current collector to be exposed. An interface layer is formed on the surface of the current collector so that the lithium metal layer is buried. The surface area of the lithium metal layer is formed in a flat plate shape smaller than the surface area of the current collector so that the edge part is exposed on the surface of the current collector. The interfacial layer (23) is formed to be buried in the lithium metal layer using a conductive polymer. USE - The electrode is useful in lithium ion secondary battery. ADVANTAGE - The electrode: improves energy density; enables smooth movement of lithium ions; and is easy for handling or storage.
