NOVELTY - Thorn-shaped nano-manganese dioxide/graphene composite material comprises thorn-shaped nano-manganese dioxide loaded on graphene oxide substrate. The length of the thorn-shaped nano-manganese dioxide is 200-400 nm. The specific surface area of the composite material is 130-140 m2/g and the average pore radius is 25-26 nm. USE - The composite material is useful for treatment of antibiotic-containing wastewater (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is simple, convenient and has rich output. The composite material has no significant change in comparison of the FT IR and XRD spectra and has good stability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the thorn-shaped nano-manganese dioxide/graphene composite material, comprising (i) preparing layered graphene oxide powder; (ii) dissolving the graphene oxide powder and manganese salt in isopropyl alcohol to obtain mixed solution, stirring and sonicating to obtain brown-yellow solution; and (iii) condensing and refluxing the brown-yellow solution at 80-85 degrees C, and adding potassium permanganate solution to obtain black solid powder, filtering, washing, centrifuging, and drying.
