NOVELTY - Negative electrode comprises a carbon nanotube current collector 1 and an active material layer coated on the surface of the carbon nanotube current collector, where the active material layer comprises nano-silicon 2 and reduced graphene oxide 3 and the reduced graphene oxide coats the nano-silicon. USE - Negative electrode for use in lithium-ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The negative electrode includes carbon nanotube that has high electrical conductivity, rough surface, high porosity, stores more electrolyte, provides better electrode wettability, improves energy density and battery performance and reduces the use of conductive agents and binders, thus greatly reducing the cost of raw materials. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing the negative electrode, which involves: a. weighing graphite oxide and nano-silicon, mixing and precipitating graphite oxide and nano-silicon mixed solution to form a graphite oxide-coated nano-silicon mixture; b. adding the graphite oxide-coated nano-silicon mixture into a solvent for dispersion to obtain a graphene oxide-coated nano-silicon mixed slurry; and c. coating the graphene oxide-coated nano-silicon mixed slurry on the surface of the carbon nanotube current collector, drying to form a layer and introducing a carbon source for thermal reduction and to prepare the negative electrode sheet.
