NOVELTY - A composite (C1) comprises poly(hydroxyalkanoate) (PHA); and graphene. USE - As composite used in article, particularly compression molded article (claimed) used for applications such as biodegradable options for packaging of charge sensitive devices e.g. electronic circuit boards, and charge dissipating floor coverings. ADVANTAGE - The composite has improved or desirable mechanical properties; increased electrical conductivity; decreased permeability; and exhibit increased temperatures at which thermal degradation occurs, in comparison to the same composite or article without the graphene component. The article has decreased elongation at break, increased toughness (which can be quantified by the area under a stress versus strain curve). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for forming (M1) composite involving mixing poly(hydroxyalkanoate) (PHA) and graphene to form composite mixture; and forming article from the composite mixture.
