NOVELTY - Preparing alkyl glycoside involves dissolving p-aminobenzenesulfonic acid and sodium nitrite in hydrochloric acid solution and preparing p-aminobenzenesulfonic acid diazonium salt under ice-cooling conditions. The p-aminobenzenesulfonic acid diazonium salt is dissolved in secondary distilled water, solution is slowly added to graphene oxide suspension, ice-bath, and stirred vigorously. It is filtered and washed to neutrality, and after vacuum drying, it is sulfonated graphene catalyst. Raw materials with mass ratio of glucose and fatty alcohol of 1:4-6 added to the reactor, heated to 80 degrees C, pre-reacted for 20 minutes, and sulfonic acid is added with catalyst amount of 10% of mass of glucose. Graphene is reacted under reduced pressure and heated to 140-170 degrees C, and the reaction is stopped after 30 minutes. Filtrate is collected, sulfonated graphene is removed by filtration, and fatty alcohol in filtrate is distilled off under reduced pressure to obtain light yellow syrupy liquid product. USE - Method for preparing alkyl glycoside. ADVANTAGE - The method uses diazotization of p-aminobenzenesulfonic acid to react with active hydroxyl and epoxy groups on the surface of graphene oxide to obtain a graphene oxide-supported benzenesulfonic acid catalyst. Glucose is miscible with fatty alcohol, and the sulfonated graphene is used as a catalyst to prepare an alkyl glycoside through a one-step glycosylation reaction.
