NOVELTY - The modulator has a bottom graphene layer (2) formed in an optical substrate (1). An insulation layer (4) is formed in the bottom graphene layer. A top graphene layer (5) is formed in the insulation layer. The top graphene layer and the bottom graphene layer are mutually arranged together through the insulation layer. External modulation voltage is applied to the bottom graphene layer and top graphene layer. An upper metal electrode (6) is arranged in the top graphene layer. A lower metal electrode (3) is arranged in the bottom graphene layer. USE - Graphene electric light modulator. ADVANTAGE - The modulator adapts different laser parameter based on requirement of light modulation depth, so that large laser pulse energy can be obtained and repeating frequency of controllable pulse laser can be output. The modulator has wide application range. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a graphene electric light modulator manufacturing method.
