NOVELTY - An carbon-material composite composition comprises a carbon material having graphene skeleton, and polyimide and/or its precursor. USE - Carbon-material composite composition used in thermoelectric conversion material used in thermoelectric conversion element used for thermoelectric conversion apparatus (all claimed). Uses include but are not limited to waste-heat generators, hot spring heat generator, solar thermal power generation machine, factory, motor vehicle, electric motor, satellite, machine component material, electrical/electronic component, civil-engineering and construction material and molding material. ADVANTAGE - The composition has excellent thermoelectric performance, strength and mold release property. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) thermoelectric conversion material, which comprises the carbon material and resin. The resin comprises an aromatic polymer. The carbon material has 5-40 nm of crystalline diameter determined by using Scherrer formula for (002) surface of graphene crystal in X-ray diffraction; and (2) thermoelectric conversion element, which has thermoelectric conversion layer containing the thermoelectric conversion material.
