NOVELTY - Preparing vulcanized hydrogenation desulfurization catalyst comprises e.g. (i) dispersing graphene oxide in water, adding halogenated polyhydrocarbon quaternary ammonium, stirring to obtain modified graphene oxide solution, (ii) preparing aqueous thiometallate solution, mixing with modified graphene oxide solution to obtain reaction solution, (iii) stirring reaction solution, then reacting under hydrothermal condition, filtering, washing, drying, calcining to obtain single metal sulfide catalyst, and (iv) impregnating single metal sulfide catalyst with nickel salt solution. USE - The catalyst is useful in hydrodesulfurization reaction including diesel hydrodesulfurization reaction (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method improves activity of hydrodesulfurization catalyst. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing vulcanized hydrogenation desulfurization catalyst comprises (i) dispersing graphene oxide in water, adding halogenated polyhydrocarbon quaternary ammonium, and stirring to obtain modified graphene oxide solution, (ii) preparing aqueous thiometallate solution and mixing with modified graphene oxide solution to obtain reaction solution, (iii) stirring reaction solution obtained in step (ii), then reacting under hydrothermal condition, filtering, washing, drying, and calcining to obtain single metal sulfide catalyst, and (iv) impregnating single metal sulfide catalyst obtained in step (iii) with nickel salt solution, drying, and calcining to obtain vulcanized hydrogenation desulfurization catalyst, where halogenated polyhydrocarbon quaternary ammonium is alkane chain at both ends provided with trimethylammonium halide substance; in step (i), stirring at 30-90 degrees C for 1-3 hours; and mass ratio between graphene oxide and water is 1:500-1500. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for vulcanized hydrogenation desulfurization catalyst obtained by above method.
