NOVELTY - A graphene membrane making method (100) involves providing a gas-permeable substrate (110) comprising a convoluted surface, and applying graphene to the gas-permeable substrate (120). The graphene applied to the gas-permeable substrate is heated (130) at a temperature suitable for graphene to form a substantially flat surface on the gas-permeable substrate. The graphene applied to the gas-permeable substrate is cooled (140) to a temperature suitable for graphene to form a wrinkled or buckled surface on the gas-permeable substrate. USE - Method for making graphene membrane that is utilized for enriching a gas (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables making the graphene membrane with improved permeability, increased gas permeation rate and reduced thickness. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for the following: (1) a graphene membrane comprising a gas-permeable substrate comprising a convoluted surface, and a graphene layer on the gas-permeable substrate, where the graphene layer includes one or more nanopores (2) a method of enriching a gas, which involves providing a graphene membrane comprising a gas-permeable substrate comprising a convoluted surface and a graphene layer on the gas-permeable substrate, where the graphene layer comprises one or more nanopores, and passing an input gas through the graphene membrane to form an enriched gas (3) a system for making a graphene membrane, comprising a controller, a graphene applicator configured through the controller to apply a graphene to a gas-permeable substrate and a heater device configured through the controller to heat the graphene applied to the gas-permeable substrate at a temperature of 700 degrees C.
