NOVELTY - Ternary composite material comprises molybdenum disulfide-reduced graphene oxide composite nanosheets, and cuprous oxide hollow nanospheres uniformly supported on the surface of the composite nanosheets. USE - The composite material is useful in preparing gas sensor (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method: is simple, economical, environmentally friendly and beneficial to popularization in practical applications; and has strong operability. The composite material has excellent sensitivity, selectivity and stability to nitrogen dioxide gas at room temperature, and certain practical significance in the field of the Internet of Things in the future. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the ternary composite material, comprising (i) adding sodium molybdate, thiourea and graphene oxide to water, uniformly dispersing, conducting hydrothermal reaction, after completing the reaction, centrifugal washing and drying to prepare molybdenum disulfide-reduced graphene oxide composite nanosheets, and (ii) adding molybdenum disulfide-reduced graphene oxide composite nanosheets and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide prepared in step (i) into water, after the dispersion is uniform, adding copper sulfate pentahydrate, stirring and reacting for 10-20 minutes, allowing to stand for 5-10 minutes, adding ascorbic acid, stirring and reacting at 50-60 degrees C for 20-30 minutes, then adding sodium hydroxide solution, stirring and reacting for 20-30 minutes, taking the solid phase, and drying.
