NOVELTY - Preparing graphene nano belt comprises vacuum drying the carbon nanotubes and their derivatives at 10-50 degrees C in argon or nitrogen as the cathode of the electrode, using the lithium sheet or other active metal as the anode, using lithium salt e.g. 0.5-1.5 M lithium hexafluorophosphate or lithium perchlorate or other active metal as electrolyte, using the glass fiber as separator to separate the anode and the cathode, electrolyzing with small constant current for 0.5-96 hours until the battery voltage is greater than 0.1-3 V, placing the cathode of the electrolytic carbon nanotube into inorganic substance or organic substance to generate hydrogen gas to obtain graphene, and washing and drying the product. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene nano belt. ADVANTAGE - The method obtains structurally perfect graphene nano belt.
