NOVELTY - A deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA)-modified graphene-based nickel-palladium-platinum nanocomposite material comprises graphene oxide, DNA, a divalent nickel salt, a divalent palladium salt and a tetravalent platinum salt. The nanocomposite material is prepared using graphene oxide as a carrier, DNA for modifying graphene oxide to provide metal nucleation sites, and sodium borohydride as reducing agent to reduce divalent nickel salt, divalent palladium salt, tetravalent platinum and graphene oxide into nickel, palladium, platinum and graphene, respectively. USE - Deoxyribonucleic acid-modified graphene-based nickel-palladium-platinum nanocomposite material is used as electrode material for fuel battery. ADVANTAGE - The deoxyribonucleic acid-modified graphene-based nickel-palladium-platinum nanocomposite material has excellent electrochemical property, and is prepared by simple process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA)-modified graphene-based nickel-palladium-platinum nanocomposite material comprises graphene oxide, DNA, a divalent nickel salt, a divalent palladium salt and a tetravalent platinum salt. The nickel, palladium and platinum metals are loaded on the 41-62.5 %mass graphene in a tri-metal alloy method. The particle diameter of nickel, palladium and platinum tri-metal alloy particles is 2-20 nm. The nickel, palladium and platinum tri-metal alloy is in the form of nano-cluster. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA)-modified graphene-based nickel-palladium-platinum nanocomposite material.
