NOVELTY - Preparing functionalized graphene comprises e.g. (i) adding graphene oxide and titanium dioxide into deionized water, stirring and performing ultrasonic dispersion treatment to obtain graphene oxide and titanium dioxide dispersion liquid, then placing in a round bottom flask, (ii) adding aqueous ammonia and hydrazine hydrate into flask, and mixing to obtain mixed solution, (iii) reacting mixture obtained in step (ii) in oil bath to obtain reaction solution, (iv) cooling centrifuging and separating, washing to neutrality, and drying. USE - The functionalized graphene is useful in the adsorption of formaldehyde (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The functionalized graphene: reduces appearance of free formaldehyde after adsorption. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing functionalized graphene comprises (i) adding graphene oxide and titanium dioxide into deionized water, stirring and performing ultrasonic dispersion treatment to obtain graphene oxide and titanium dioxide dispersion liquid, then placing in a round bottom flask, (ii) adding aqueous ammonia and hydrazine hydrate into flask of step (i), and uniformly mixing to obtain mixed solution, (iii) reacting the mixture obtained in step (ii) in an oil bath to obtain reaction solution, (iv) cooling the reaction solution obtained in step (iii), centrifuging and separating, washing to neutrality, and drying by vacuum to obtain functionalized graphene powder.
