NOVELTY - Battery 100 comprises an anode comprising a polymeric network including carbonaceous materials grafted with more fluorinated polymer chains cross-linked into a lattice, a cathode positioned opposite to the anode, a protective sheath disposed on the cathode, an electrolyte partially dispersed throughout the cathode and in contact with the anode, and a separator positioned between the anode and cathode, where the anode is configured to output more alkali ions during operational cycling of the battery, the protective sheath includes a tri-functional epoxy compound and a di-amine oligomer-based compound configured to chemically react with each other, and the electrolyte is configured to transport the alkali ions between cathode and anode. USE - Battery, preferably lithium-ion battery. ADVANTAGE - The battery has improved cyclability, specific discharge capacity, discharge capacity retention, safety and lifespan.
