NOVELTY - A composite material comprises a core-shell structure having a core metal doped graphene nanomaterial, where the mass ratio of graphene to nanometal is 85-95:1-3. The shell comprises titanium dioxide coating and asphalt pyrolytic carbon at a mass ratio of 1-10:10-50. USE - Composite material useful as lithium ion battery cathode material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composite material can provide lithium-ion battery having improved energy density and high rate performance and cycle performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for the preparation of composite material comprising: (A) taking titanium dioxide powder, binder, and asphalt in organic solvent and dispersant to prepare colloid mixture; and (B) taking nanometal doped graphite material and the colloid mixture, heating at 600-800 degrees C, preserving temperature for 12-24 hours, cooling, washing, and drying to obtain the finished product.
