NOVELTY - The porous gas diffusion electrode comprises an electronic conductor that includes carbon powder in the form of carbon nanotubes and graphene. A current collector, a binder, an agent hydrophobic, a catalyst and a solid ionic conductor is provided in the porous gas diffusion electrode. An oxidation catalyst allows the production of oxygen. USE - Porous gas diffusion electrode for use in an electrochemical cell and particularly for use in electrochemical systems. ADVANTAGE - Catalyst ensures to facilitate the electrochemical reaction and reduce over-voltages that causes loss of electrical efficiency. Hydrophobic agent ensures to prevent the electrode from become flooded by the electrolyte. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a metal-air battery that has an air electrode; (2) a method for manufacturing a gas diffusion electrode; and (3) a fuel cell that has an air electrode.
