NOVELTY - Preparing nano alpha -zirconium phosphate comprises nano alpha -zirconium phosphate loading graphene oxide flame retardant containing alpha -zirconium phosphate and graphene oxide sheets, alpha -zirconium phosphate in the form of nanoparticles supported on the surface of the graphene oxide sheets; specific steps comprise (i) preparing an aqueous solution of graphene oxide; (ii) preparation of the precursor alpha -zirconium phosphate solution: taking 0.25-3 g zirconium oxychloride (ZrOCl2.8H2O), dissolving in 6 ml de-ionized water, then slowly adding 12-36 ml 85 % phosphoric acid. USE - The method is useful for preparing nano alpha -zirconium phosphate (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The nano alpha -zirconium phosphate has synergistic effect. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing nano alpha -zirconium phosphate comprises nano alpha -zirconium phosphate loading graphene oxide flame retardant containing alpha -zirconium phosphate and graphene oxide sheets, alpha -zirconium phosphate in the form of nanoparticles supported on the surface of the graphene oxide sheets; specific steps comprise (i) preparing an aqueous solution of graphene oxide; (ii) preparation of the precursor alpha -zirconium phosphate solution: taking 0.25-3 g zirconium oxychloride (ZrOCl2.8H2O), dissolving in 6 ml de-ionized water, then slowly adding 12-36 ml 85 % phosphoric acid; and (iii) taking obtained precursor alpha -zirconium phosphate, adding to 90-120 ml concentration prepared 3 mg/ml aqueous solution of graphene oxide, and mixing well, stirring at 90-110 degrees C for 20-30 hours, centrifuging, washing and drying.
