NOVELTY - Preparing graphene modified organic montmorillonite comprises (i) uniformly stirring 100 pts. wt. montmorillonite and 1-10 pts. wt. inorganic acid solution having mass fraction not higher than 15%, calcining at 65-105 degrees C for 5-10 minutes, (iii) adding 500-1000 pts. wt. pure water and thoroughly stirring until a uniform solution forms, adding 1-5 pts. wt. soluble copper salt and 1-5 pts. wt. soluble zinc salt, continuously stirring for 30-60 minutes, (iii) adding 5-15 pts. wt. polyoxyethylene and continuously stirring for 30-60 minutes, filtering, washing and collecting filter cake, uniformly stirring filter cake and 0.1-1.5 pts. wt. graphene, calcining at 60-90 degrees C for 30-60 minutes. USE - The montmorillonite useful in polymer reinforcement (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The montmorillonite has good dispersibility in polymers e.g. resin, fiber and plastic, improves the mechanical strength, mechanical properties, heat resistance and other properties of various types of polymers.
