NOVELTY - A catalyst comprises a nitrogen-containing carbon material comprising iron atom and a graphene structure containing nitrogen atoms. The iron atom has an iron-nitrogen structure in which each of four nitrogen atoms is coordinated. The iron-nitrogen structure has an active point density of 3x 10-5-1x 10-4 mol sites/g. USE - Catalyst is used for electrode (claimed) for carbon-dioxide electrolytic reduction reaction for producing carbon monoxide used as raw material of chemical product and nitrogen electrolytic reduction reaction for producing ammonia used as fertilizer. ADVANTAGE - The catalyst has high carbon dioxide reduction activity and nitrogen reduction activity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A catalyst comprises a nitrogen-containing carbon material comprising iron atom and a graphene structure containing nitrogen atoms. The iron atom has an iron-nitrogen (Fe-N4) structure in which each of four nitrogen atoms is coordinated. The iron-nitrogen structure has an active point density of 3x 10-5-1x 10-4 mol sites/g.
