NOVELTY - Bio-based phase change energy storage flame retardant i.e. ammonium compound (I) is new. USE - (I) is useful in preparing thermal energy storage type flame retardant polyolefin composite material and flame retardant compound (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The bio-based phase change energy storage type flame retardant has high halogen-free flame retardant efficiency, low smoke and low toxicity, excellent thermal stability, high phase change enthalpy value, obvious energy saving and consumption reduction effect, mechanical properties of the material have little influence, synthesis process is simple, and can be prepared by a one-step method, which is convenient for industrial production. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Bio-based phase change energy storage flame retardant i.e. ammonium compound of formula (I) is new. R1 = phytic acid, phosphocreatine, and (ribonucleotide including adenosine diphosphate, adenosine triphosphate, guanosine triphosphate, thymidine triphosphate, cytidine triphosphate, cyclic adenosine monophosphate, and cyclic guanosine monophosphate); R2 = 10-18C straight-chain aliphatic amine, and its general structural formula is (NH2-(CH2)n-CH3); and n = 9-17. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) Preparation of (I); and (2) Preparing thermal energy storage type flame retardant polyolefin composite material comprising melt blending 30-50 pts. wt. polypropylene, 30-50 pts. wt. wood powder, 20-40 pts. wt. bio-based phase change energy storage flame retardant, 1-5 pts. wt. flame retardant synergistic agent, where thermal energy storage type flame retardant polyolefin composite material has a limiting oxygen index of 20-30.5%, vertical combustion UL-94 grade of step less to V-0, and a phase change enthalpy of 32.5 and 58.8 J/g-1.
