NOVELTY - Fusion welding polymer composition comprises polymer in polymer matrix and graphene dispersed homogeneously and encapsulated within polymer matrix. USE - Fusion welding polymer composition for use in high efficiency fusion or laser welding of polymer. ADVANTAGE - The fusion welding polymer composition comprises graphene, which provide the sought-after increase efficiency of the laser welding, without adversly affecting the material properties of the polymer matrix, and has reduced if additive also added to the polymer matrix. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: 1. a method of fusion welding for polymer, which involves: placing a first polymer matrix comprising polymer and graphene dispersed homogeneously and encapsulated within the polymer matrix into contact with a second polymer, and using a laser at a contact point or interface; and 2. a method of forming a polymer matrix, which involves: dispersing graphene homogeneously within a base polymer melt to encapsulate the graphene within the polymer matrix.
