NOVELTY - Preparation of reduced graphene oxide film involves: (1) using cyclic voltammetry to deposit graphene oxide (GO) on conductive fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) glass slides to prepare FTO/GO films; (2) reducing GO by combining with potentioelectric potential method to prepare FTO/electrochemically reduced graphene oxide (ErGO) film; (3) putting the FTO/ErGO film into poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) (PDDA) solution and polystyrene sulfonate (PSS) solution and self-assembling to prepare a self-assembled film of FTO/ErGO/(PDDA/PSS)n self-assembled monolayers (SAMs), where n is 1-5; and (4) preparing FTO/ErGO/(PDDA/PSS)n/carbon dot (CDs) SAMs by immersing the self-assembled film in a fluorescent carbon dot solution. USE - The method is useful for preparing reduced graphene oxide film, which is useful for enhancing fluorescence of carbon dots, and fluorescence analysis and detection, and as base film to enhance signal of fluorescent probes (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method provides reduced graphene oxide film in an environmentally-friendly manner, and solves the problem of weak fluorescence signal and low detection sensitivity of the fluorescence sensor film.
