NOVELTY - Method for making carbon-metal oxide composite electrode, involves continuously injecting a carbon material solution to a coagulation solution, where the carbon material solution comprises a carbon source and a liquid, and the coagulation solution comprises a metal nitrate or chloride and an organic solvent, forming an extruded structure comprising the metal nitrate or chloride interspersed with carbon, annealing the extruded structure under conditions sufficient to convert the metal nitrate or chloride to metal oxide, and forming a composite structure comprising the metal oxide and the carbon, where the metal oxide is uniformly dispersed within the composite structure. USE - The method is used for making carbon-metal oxide composite electrode for supercapacitor (claimed) in electric aircraft. ADVANTAGE - The composite electrode provides high performance supercapacitor. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a carbon-metal oxide composite electrode comprising a composite structure including carbon and a metal oxide, where the metal oxide is uniformly dispersed within the composite structure; and (2) a supercapacitor comprising first and second electrodes separated by a gel electrolyte, where the first and/or second electrodes comprises the carbon-metal oxide composite electrode.
