NOVELTY - The tester has a control module connected with a power supply module, a light emitter and a data acquisition control module. A reflective/transreflective element is connected with the light emitter and a photodetector. The photodetector is connected with the data acquisition control module that is connected with an internal memory module. The reflective/transreflective element reflects and/or passes light to the photodetector through a graphene security element (22). A communication module i.e. Bluetooth module, is connected with a mobile device. USE - Tester for detecting a graphene security element in a security document e.g. banknote, identification cards and payment cards. ADVANTAGE - The tester is easy to implement during a paper production process and inexpensive, and has better anti-counterfeiting effect, and avoids document structure damage. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for detecting graphene security element in a security document.
