NOVELTY - The preparation of graphene or carbon nanotubes by electrolysis of carbon dioxide involves weighing one or more halide molten salt as electrolyte, adding collecting agent, adding additive, mixing to obtain electrolyte system, adding electrolyte system to reactor, comprising reactor with anode and cathode, controlling voltage and setting electrolysis temperature under constant potential, introducing carbon dioxide gas in reactor, electrolyzing to obtain deposited carbon cathode, washing carbon cathode with hydrochloric acid, drying and centrifuging. USE - Preparation of graphene or carbon nanotubes by electrolysis of carbon dioxide (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of environmentally-friendly graphene or carbon nanotubes with strong ability by simple process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The preparation of graphene or carbon nanotubes by electrolysis of carbon dioxide involves weighing one or more halide molten salt as electrolyte, adding a certain amount of collecting agent, adding a certain amount of additive, mixing to obtain electrolyte system, adding obtained electrolyte system to the reactor, comprising reactor with anode and cathode additionally, controlling voltage to 1.0-3.0 v and setting electrolysis temperature to 400-1000 degrees C under constant potential, introducing certain flow rate of carbon dioxide gas in the reactor, electrolyzing for 4-6 hours to obtain deposited carbon cathode, washing deposited carbon cathode with 1-7 mol/l hydrochloric acid and drying at 120 degrees C and centrifuging.
