NOVELTY - Preparing graphene oxide powder involves weighing a certain amount of humic acid solid particle having 1 mm diameter and placing in hydrothermal reaction tank containing de-ionized water. The mass ratio of humic acid to water is 1-5:1000. The hydrothermal reaction tank is subjected to high temperature drying box at 180-200 degrees C for 6-8 hours followed by hydrothermal reaction. The obtained product is cooled to room temperature to obtain graphene oxide solution. The graphene oxide solution is dried to obtain graphene oxide powder. USE - Method for preparing graphene oxide powder (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare graphene oxide powder in simple, cost-effective and eco-friendly manner and has high oxygen content.
