NOVELTY - The fishing rod (10) has a hollow tubular rod blank (16) having several prepreg layers. The prepreg layers comprise a graphene-resin mixture comprising a resin and a graphene preparation evenly placed throughout the resin. A fiber cloth is impregnated with graphene-resin mixture. The multiple prepreg layers are applied and pressed together in alternate layers of graphene-resin mixture and fiber cloth to form rod blank. The fiber cloth comprises at least one of graphene fibers, carbon fibers, graphite fibers, boron fibers, glass fibers, silicon carbide fibers, ceramic fibers and aramid fibers. USE - Fishing rod with graphene for fishing equipment. ADVANTAGE - Since the graphene possesses superior strength by weight and other qualities compared to other materials, the graphene is incorporated into the construction of a fishing rod to provide desirable speed, action, power and sensitivity one looks for in a high quality rod. The tape provides waterproof properties. The performance of the fishing rod is improved by placing the line guides and reel seat with consideration to the location of the spine. The spine ensures that when the rod is under load, it does not twist when it bends by placing the line guides along or opposite the spine.
