NOVELTY - Method for preparing polyvinylpyrrolidone polymerized stannic oxide-graphene aerogel, involves (a) adding graphene oxide aqueous solution to a mixed solution of alcohol and deionized water, ultrasonically dispersing, sequentially adding tin source, reducing agent and modifier, uniformly stirring, adding polyvinylpyrrolidone and heating in stirring state to obtain a stannic oxide-graphene sol, (b) adding obtained stannic oxide-graphene sol to a hydrothermal reaction kettle, and reacting obtain stannic oxide-graphene hydrogel, and soaking the stannic oxide-graphene hydrogel in aging solution until a film is removed, and (c) freeze-drying the demolded stannic oxide-graphene hydrogel to obtain the stannic oxide-graphene hydrogel. USE - The method is used for preparing polyvinylpyrrolidone polymerized stannic oxide-graphene aerogel useful in gas detection (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The aerogel ensures density of 0.12-0.23 g/cm3, hydrophobic angle of 108-127 degrees , gas response time for 61-127 seconds and response degree of 28-41%.
