NOVELTY - Preparation method of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)/graphene oxide hydrogel involves (a) preparing graphite oxide, and (b) mixing graphite oxide and water, ultrasonically processing, adding N-isopropylacrylamide and N,N'-methylenebisacrylamide, stirring to dissolve, pouring the mixed solution into a bottle, filling nitrogen and sealing, irradiating the sealed with cobalt-60 radiation source at room temperature, removing hydrogel from the irradiated bottle and washing with distilled water. USE - Method is useful for preparing poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)/graphene oxide hydrogel, which is useful as biological material. ADVANTAGE - The method ensures simple preparation of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)/graphene oxide hydrogel with high purity and excellent optical and thermal properties and light and thermal sensitivity and without using organic solvent. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation method of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)/graphene oxide hydrogel involves (a) preparing graphite oxide by adding graphite powder and sodium nitrate in a mass ratio of 1:1.2 to a beaker, stirring in constant-temperature water bath, adding 50% sulfuric acid to beaker, stirring for 10 minutes, adding potassium permanganate to the beaker, stirring for 6 hours, adding water to solution in a volume ratio of 2: 1 in the beaker, stirring for 0.5 hour, adding water and 30% hydrogen peroxide to obtain suspension solution, repeatedly washing solid mixture with water, freezing with liquid nitrogen to obtain graphite oxide solution and drying in a freeze-dryer for 10 hours, and (b) mixing graphite oxide and water in a mass ratio of 1:10, ultrasonically processing for 0.5 hours, adding 36% N-isopropylacrylamide and 0.6% N,N'-methylenebisacrylamide, stirring to dissolve, pouring the mixed solution into a bottle, filling nitrogen for 10 minutes and sealing, irradiating the sealed with cobalt-60 radiation source at room temperature, removing hydrogel from the irradiated bottle and washing with distilled water. The mass ratio of graphite and potassium permanganate is 1:6-8.
