NOVELTY - Producing (M1) (100) an oxidized graphene, comprises: obtaining (102) a first mixture by mixing graphite and at least one acid, where a weight ratio of graphite to the acid adjusted to 1:1-1:30; preparing (104) a second mixture by adding a first oxidizer to the first mixture, where a weight ratio of the first oxidizer to graphite adjusted to 0.01:1-2:1; obtaining (106) a third mixture by adding a second oxidizer to the second mixture; obtaining (108) the oxidized graphene by mixing the third mixture and a pre-determined amount of at least one solvent; and separating the oxidized graphene utilizing a purification method. USE - The method is useful for producing an oxidized graphene (claimed) which is used in transportation, aerospace, composite, and electronics industries. ADVANTAGE - The method: is a simple and easy to produce an oxidized graphene and its derivatives so that a consumption of acid remarkably decreases and environmental-friendly; and utilizes a simple purification method to develop low-cost method. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: producing (M2) an oxidized graphene, comprising obtaining a first mixture by mixing graphite and at least one acid, where a ratio of graphite to the acid adjusted to 1:1-1:30 wt.%, obtaining a second mixture by oxidizing the first mixture, where oxidizing the first mixture provided by an electro-chemical process, preparing a third mixture by producing an oxidizing agent into the second mixture, where the oxidizing agent produced by the electro-chemical process, obtaining the oxidized graphene by mixing the third mixture and a pre-determined amount of at least one solvent, and separating the oxidized graphene utilizing a purification method; and producing (M3) a functionalized oxidized graphene, comprising obtaining a first mixture by mixing graphite and at least one acid in a ratio of 1:1-1:30 wt.%, obtaining a second mixture by adding a first oxidizer to the first mixture, obtaining a third mixture by adding a second oxidizer to the second mixture, obtaining a fourth mixture by adding a group of materials to the third mixture, where the group of materials have a capability of reaction to an epoxy group, a carboxyl group, or a hydroxyl group in presence of the acid, preparing a colloidal solution by adding a pre-determined amount of water and a cyclic carboxylic ester or a cyclic amide to the fourth mixture, obtaining the functionalized oxidized graphene by purifying colloidal solution.
